What is the difference between msn and hotmail?

plz let me know. tanx in advance.
What is the difference between msn and hotmail?
MSN stands for Microsoft Network, and now also appears under the name Windows Live. Think of this a the brand name, like microsoft or sony.

Hotmail (now called Windows Live Hotmail) is a product of the company which allows all windows live (msn) users email access.

Hotmail and many other services such as messenger are available to all users with a windows live ID (username and password)

Hope this helps you

Reply:Even though MSN provides for hotmail, how come there are two different types: example@msn.com and example@hotmail.com? Is it the same or are they completely different? Report Abuse

Reply:Hotmail is provided through msn.
Reply:hotmail is specifically the emailing service rendered by msn.
Reply:Hello,

MSN is MicroSoftNetwork Which is owned by Microsoft.

Hotmail was Orignally created by a single person Sabeer Bhatia(India) Which is after sold to Microsoft.
