Has anyone upgraded with msn or hotmail instead of just having the basic freebie mail etc?

Not really. They increase your capacity limit and unblock your account so you can use POP (Connect using Mail Clients such as outlook)





thats about it.





Gmail and others allow you to do all this for free, My personal advice would be to keep your money for the January sales =)

if you upgrade there are a lots of benefits such as you can avail an account like youname@yourname.com


and will get lots of space that doesn't count much.
Reply:I have been using msn premium for 4 years now and it is well worth the ten dollars a month. Free mcafee anti virus saves me 80 dollars a year and webroot spysweeper, a 49 dollar program, is also free, that alone covers the cost of upgrading and besides, many times, hotmail.com e-mail addresses are automatically marked as spam which is much less likely with the msn.com address. I would recommend the upgrade.

Have your old mail forwarded or use gmail to retrieve it directly from hotmail (look in the gmail help for directions). Gmail also has many other great features like super fast search, chat (google chat + aim), labels as opposed to folders, filters, etc. etc. etc.
Reply:i have my hot mail account so long that I got the POP feature for free as I accessed it every day.





I now use incredimail to pull all emial to read then from there I forward what has to be saved to my gmail account

Reply:well i have kinda upgraded msn for free if you download windows live messenger and messenger plus. But windows live messenger is a complety different but better msn and messenger plus is a free upgrade you add on to windows live messenger hope i hepled you and came to some use!
