My friend has msn messenger with a hotmail account, i have it with a yahoo account - can we send eachother instant messages?

Yes, u can or what u can also do is dl one of the program that allows to use all those program .. ie msn, yahoo, icq etc. There is such a program. Just google it.
Reply:You just have to add the whole email address to your yahoo messenger. So go add your friend and you can chat with them. I can chat with my friend at hotmail everyday using my IM with yahoo.com.
