Check your browser is set to accept cookies. If you have cookies switched off, Hotmail will shut you out in the cold.
Also, if your computer has a virus/malware, a keylogger might have installed itself on your PC and sent your password to a hacker who has perhaps taken over your account.
Contact MSN and ask them what to do, and also whether the account has been used during the time which you have been unable to get into it.
