I was going to get an email account on msn, and it has two different choices, hotmail or live. What is Live?

I just want to know what Live is. Everyone I know has hotmail, but the address i wanted was not available for hotmail but it was on Live. So I was wondering what the difference was. Thanks!

Reply:Live and hotmail are pretty much the same mail provider (well hotmail.com takes you to windows live hotmail so I guess they are the same). Anyways, yes you can sign up for Windows Live Messenger with a %26lt;name%26gt;@live.com address.
