To permanently disable MSN Messenger when using Outlook (Express) or Hotmail web site, simply rename the

C:\Program Files\Messenger folder to Messenger-OFF! (example).

This will effectively shut down Messenger, but not interfere with the loading of Outlook."

For other hacks you can check this site :

Reply:OK go to your your name thing then click on the down arrow go to personal settings (should be last item) then on the left hand side click general and then the third one down say automatically sign in when connected to Internet and un-check that and there you go!
Reply:Start %26gt; Run %26gt; msconfig

When you click on Run, type in msconfig and then the last tab will show you what starts up with your computer.

Just uncheck msmsgs

Hit apply, OK and then restart. It shouldn't start back up.
